Foster-Powell: Portland Neighborhood Guide
Foster-Powell is often referred to as an up-and-coming Portland neighborhood in Southeast Portland. The triangular neighborhood is bordered by SE 52nd to the west, SE Powell to the north, and diagonally by Foster Road to the southeast. This southeast Portland neighborhood has a long history that began with agricultural transport, and is known today for its small businesses and a community of young families and immigrants. Foster-Powell is cute, houses are reasonably priced, and she’s walkable as heck.
Ladd’s Addition: Portland Neighborhood Guide
Ladd's Addition is Portland's oldest planned development, a historic southeast neighborhood listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s a maze so charming you’ll never want to find your way out of it. These unorthodox streets run orthogonal to the city’s standard grid design and converge in four diamond-shaped rose gardens and a circular central garden park. Full of classic craftsman, four square, mission, and bungalow homes, with wide greenways, Ladd’s feels like the Portland version of a Hallmark movie town.
